I've never posted pictures of these guys...they were only about 1" when I got them a couple months ago and very shy. I've since moved them into the 6ft. tank with Pandora and Chester, and they're much easier to get pictures of now. They're about 2.5" and you can start to see some of their colours coming in.

While taking pictures of the argentea yesterday, I caught a few of some of the rest of the gang as well.
Craven, still aggressive as hell. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Vixen, still living with Talon in a divided situation. She likes to taunt him. ![]() ![]() Talon, still king of the damn world and he knows it. He very, very rarely displays like this, so confident in himself lol. ![]() ![]() Little beani baby, still don't think I'll keep him long-term, but he's cute. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() And of course...Pandora. She's getting big, about 10" now. She has now outgrown Baxter, who was much larger than her when I first bought her, and she's a good size bigger than Craven now. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

The argentea I moved in with Pandora a while ago is turning into the most amazing little fish. He's absolutely gorgeous, and has started growing like crazy too now that he's in the 6ft tank. He's about 4" now and just loaded with personality. Some of the pictures aren't the greatest, but they show all his pretty colours well.

Couldn't resist when someone on a local forum put together a Spencer Jack group order...I've been eyeing up the Veija regani he has for quite some time now. Alas...I now have five 1-1.5" babies. Have only been in the tank for a couple hours, so still adjusting...better pictures later
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() When I went to pick them up, I was also conned into taking home a solo 'Cichlasoma' beani. About 2.5-3" in size. Not sure how long I'll be keeping him/her for... ![]() ![]() Camera shy, but shows his/her pretty rainbow colours. ![]() ![]() And because he was looking particularly sexy after the water change this afternoon...some shots of the "big" argentea (2.5-3"). ![]()

So, at about 2.5", this guy has officially been ousted from the baby tank. He suddenly starting harassing the smaller argentea, shredding his/her fins...so I took a chance (because I have no where else to put him) and threw him into the 125gal hoping Pandora wouldn't look at him like food.
Now, I LOVE my big angry monsters...but there's something to be said for a monster who is only a monster in size. Being a peaceful herbivore has its benefits. Pandora was curious about the new little addition when he first made his appearance, but now treats him as a member of the family. It's so funny tos see...every fish I've had in like the past 10 years that was this big, couldn't be kept with tank mates...let alone bite-sized ones, lol. It's so odd having a truly peaceful community monster for a change. Here's the argentea in his new tank, loving the 6ft of territory and showing no fear whatsoever now that he knows Pandora won't hurt him. He even darkened up - funny, he was almost pure white over black sand, but darkens up over white sand. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() And some bad pictures (best I could get, little bugger won't sit still) to show the size difference between him and Pandora. He seems slightly enthralled with her, likes to hang out with her a fair bit. ![]() See what I mean about bite-sized?
