Maybe some one here will know what shes doing... i have a female red zebra about 2 1/4" that has been holding for about 2 weeks...i feed them a on very strict time frame and they all seem to know when its coming and she will not have the eggs in her mouth at those times.... after feeding ill come back later and shes holding again... from what i know they are not supost to eat while holding right??? only think i can think of is she is spiting them out somewhere so she can eat then goes back to retrive them... anyone else ever see this behavior? i havent seen her spit them out anywhere and have sat a watched but never see what shes does...

Just finished my 55 african tank... well kinda still cloudy from the sand and needs a little work but im happy with it for now, i dont like to much going on, i try to keep it simple.... stocked with 6 yellow lab's, 6 johanni's, 3 red zibras, and 1 random silver guy, cant remember what the guy called it and a few feeders that my dempseys didnt eat...i like the over stocked look... i do have a questions about plants when using sand, what kind can grow in sand and they wont destroy if there are any at all... and wonder if anyone can id the odd cichlid i have pic is below... lmk what everyone thinks and thanks for looking...

so my convicts layed eggs monday night and they hatched last night..... she moved them to another rock with a small ledge and over the course of the nigt and today they have been falling off down into the gravel and she cant reach them.... she gets a few here and there and puts them back on the rock but theres only a few left out of the 150 or so.... will they survive down in the gravel until they start free swimming, or are they gonna die?
